Exploring Bangkok for the first time

I went to Bangkok, Thailand last week with Sha. It was my first time there and I thought that aside from seeing Coldplay perform live at Rajamangala Stadium, we should also explore the famous landmarks in Bangkok. Since we do not have much time, we just decided to check out Wat Arun (Temple of the Dawn), and Wat Pho on our first day in Bangkok.

We went first to Wat Arun since we want to take a photo of it during sunset on the other side of the river. Construction is on-going at Wat Arun as you can notice on the photo below.

After roaming around Wat Arun, we crossed the river so that we can go to Wat Pho. You can find the famous Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho. Good thing I brought my wide angle lens with me so that I can take a decent photo of it.

After walking around Wat Pho, we decided to wait for the sun to set at Bitter Deck. The Bitter Deck has an unobstructed view of Wat Arun. It was unfortunate though that it was cloudy on that day and the lights that we’re expecting to light up the temple didn’t turn on as expected. Even if we weren’t able to take the photos that we imagined, we were able to enjoy the food at Bitter Deck.
